http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7955570.html
This patent from 3M teaches a gold nanocatalyst system useful for the conversion of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide with low pressure drop reaction. Claim 1 reads:
1. A catalyst system, comprising:
a) a fluid conduit having an inner surface defining at least a portion of a flow-through channel; and
b) a plurality of nanoporous particles provided on at least a portion of the inner surface,
wherein a catalyst is provided on the particles, the catalyst comprising a plurality of gold clusters having a size in the range of about 0.5 nm to about 50 nm.
