This patent from the University of Michigan teaches a technique of electrospraying which produces nanodroplets having chemically distinct polymer regions. Claim 1 reads:

1. A nano-object having at least one spatial dimension of about 5 nm to about 5000 nm comprising multiple chemically distinct exposed surface regions, wherein at least two of the multiple chemically distinct exposed surface regions independently comprise a polymeric material.
