http://www.freepatentsonline.com/8011990.html
This patent from E.I. du Pont teaches a way to improve the emission properties of of carbon nanotube pastes used as field emitters in flat panel displays. Claim 1 reads:
1. A method for improving the emission current of a field emitter device that comprises an electron field emitter comprising carbon nanotubes on a surface, comprising
applying a liquid material to the surface;
heating the liquid material to form a material having adhesive contact with the surface; and
separating the adhesive material from the surface.
