US Patent 7535462 - SWCNT touchscreen

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7535462.html

This patent from Kodak teaches a touchscreen interface based on single walled carbon nanotubes having high transparency, low surface electrical resistivity, flexibility, and robustness under repeated contacts. Claim 1 reads:

1. A touchscreen comprising:

touch side electrode and device side electrode

wherein each electrode comprises an insulating substrate and an exposed electrically conductive layer,

wherein said exposed electrically conductive layers are adjacent and separated by dielectric spacers,

wherein only one of the exposed electrically conductive layers comprises carbon nanotubes wherein said carbon nanotubes comprise single-wall carbon nanotubes and wherein said carbon nanotubes comprise covalently attached hydrophilic species.

US Patent 7329301 - Silver nanoparticle composite

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7329301.html

This patent from Kodak teaches a manufacturing method for a silver colloidal composition that can be performed at relatively lower temperatures (<90 C). The resultant composition is useful as an anti-bacterial agent or an electrical conductor. Claim 1 reads:

1. A composition of matter comprising associated predominantly silver metal nanoparticles, a polymer that is soluble in a non-aqueous solvent and a non-aqueous solvent, wherein greater than 80% by number of the nanoparticles touch or connect with at least one other particle.

US Patent 7294372 - Carbon nanotubes for color filter

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7294372.html

Conductive color filters are useful in display applications to provide conductive paths to control circuitry while regulating the colors of display pixels. This patent from Kodak discloses the use of carbon nanotubes with a resin colorant to construct such filters. Claim 1 reads:

1. An array of electrically connected conductive color filters, wherein each conductive color filter is in electrical contact with a transparent conductive electrode, at least one conductive color filter comprising an unpatterned layer of carbon nanotubes covered by a patterned layer of colored polymeric resin binder, wherein the color of the colored polymeric binder is black, red, green or blue.
