US Patent 7915598 - Electroacoustic CNT sensor

Photoacoustic spectrometers are useful to detect absorption characteristics of materials. This patent from Tsinghua University and Hon Hai Precision teaches a way that carbon nanotubes can be used to improve sound intensity in photoacoustic transducers. Claim 1 reads:

1. An electromagnetic signal measuring device, the electromagnetic signal measuring device comprising:

a carbon nanotube structure, a sound-electro converting device located near the carbon nanotube structure; and

a measuring device, connected to the sound-electro converting device, configured to measure a signal output from the sound-electro converting device.
