http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7915598.html
Photoacoustic spectrometers are useful to detect absorption characteristics of materials. This patent from Tsinghua University and Hon Hai Precision teaches a way that carbon nanotubes can be used to improve sound intensity in photoacoustic transducers. Claim 1 reads:
1. An electromagnetic signal measuring device, the electromagnetic signal measuring device comprising:
a carbon nanotube structure, a sound-electro converting device located near the carbon nanotube structure; and
a measuring device, connected to the sound-electro converting device, configured to measure a signal output from the sound-electro converting device.
