http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7670509.html
This patent is from Kawamura Institute of Chemical Research and teaches a nanofiber fabrication method which may help improve the speed and yield of production. Claim 1 reads:
1. A composite nanofiber comprising:
at least one kind of metal or metal ions and a polymer including straight chain polyethyleneimine backbones in a silica nanofiber,
wherein a content of the silica is within a range from 30 to 80% by mass, and the nanofiber has a thickness within a range from 15 to 100 nm.
